EB-3B – skilled workers

Applicants whose jobs require a minimum of 2 years of training or work experience, not of a temporary or seasonal nature.

Experience/Training

Evidence of at least 2 years of work experience or specialized training in the respective field;

Permanent employment

The position must be permanent (not temporary or seasonal);

Labor certification

A certified PERM confirming that there are no available, qualified U.S. workers for the position;

Education

In certain cases, relevant vocational or post-secondary education may count toward the 2-year requirement.

Filing procedure

Steps to getting your visa

Getting started

Signing the service agreement and filing the Labor Certification (PERM) application with the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL).

PERM certification & I-140 filing

Once the PERM is certified, Form I-140 is submitted to USCIS.

Green card application

Following the approval of the petition, the applicant files for a green card (form I-485, adjustment of status), provided that the priority date is current.
